Welcome to Macaroni Kid!  Lots of events and some great articles this week...with so many events during the summer you may see "message clipped" "view entire message" at the bottom of the email.  Click "view entire message" so you don't miss anything.

A few things for this week:
--The Mountain State Fair will soon be here!  Dates are set for Sept. 5-14, 2014.  Their website states that you can save 50% off of rides and $2 off admission by purchasing advance tickets.
--What child does not love to get mail? Kiwi Crate delivers fun straight to your mailbox.
--The movie Frozen is such a hit with kids.  I think your kids will love these "Frozen Inspired Crafts".
--For a new twist of S'mores try these S'mores Cones. Yum!
--Help a Girl Reach her Full Potential
--Does your kid love acting? Check this out.

It was brought to my attention that one of the links in Macaroni Kid did not have correct information.  I appreciated that someone let me know.  I try my best to have all the correct info for you but I do make mistakes.  Please, if in doubt, confirm information before you get the kids in the car to go.  And of course, let me know so I can correct it as soon as possible.

There are still a few weeks of summer left so be sure and check out the Summer Fun Guide.  It is loaded with information to help make your summer full of fun. Here's what you will find:  Ideas for day trips; where the festivals are; summer camps; locations of tailgate markets; the ice cream and yogurt spots around town; some local places for couple of hours of fun; find out where the swimming pools, swimming holes and swim lessons are; budget fun; Asheville and Buncombe County Parks and playgrounds; reading programs and summer food programs

While the Summer Fun Guide gives lots of information the Mac Kid newsletter is where you will find the day to day activities.  The calendar is filling up fast so be sure to read your newsletter and check the calendar for event happenings.

Plan ahead with fun with the family...Anything Floats Parade.

Don't miss out on the Kids Eat Free (or Cheap) and Mom Connections. The articles are in the lower part of the newsletter. I do my best to get the information correct but I recommend you call before going, just to be sure that the event is happening. Just a reminder, click on the "Complete Calendar" link below if you would like to see additional calendar events for the upcoming weeks.

Have fun and be safe!
Sandy
