Welcome to Macaroni Kid - the place to find this week's family fun!

May 19, 2015
Welcome to Macaroni Kid and thanks for joining us.  We are here to help you find family friendly things to do in Buncombe County.  This issue is full of things to do.  Be sure to check it all out.  With Summer just around the corner I am sure there are lots of churches planning their Vacation Bible Schools.  Send me your info and I will be happy to include it on the calendar.

Highlights for this week...
...We have show tickets for both the kids and mom and dad.  Check out "American Tales and Tunes" for the kids and "Over the River and Through the Woods" for a night out just for you.  Ticket giveaway!
...You can now register for Swim Lessons with Buncombe County.  Here is more information.
...Be on the watch for our Summer Fun issue.  Things to do all summer long with the kids and relatives that come to visit.
...Tailgate markets are in full swing.  Find out where and when in this week's article on Local Tailgates.  This will be part of our Summer Fun issue so you will have easy access to it all summer long.
...Some great tips on how to pick out a summer camp for your child.
...As you start to think of summer...don't miss our Summer Camp Guide! Information about one of the camps, NC Arboretum's Discovery Camp, is included this week in a special article.

Each week we are here for families in Buncombe County with fun, family friendly things to do.  Be sure to check the calendar often as I add to it as new things come to my attention. It can be time consuming to find things to do as a family.  Hopefully, Asheville Macaroni Kid has helped! If you have an event that you would like to include on our calendar click here. I will get back with you. And if you are traveling and want to see if there is a Macaroni Kid in that area click on our National Macaroni Kid page and use the drop down box on the top right side of the page where it says "Find Your Town".

See those businesses listed on the side of the newsletter?  Not only do these business offer fun, great classes and products they are also the businesses that help bring Macaroni Kid to you each week at no charge.  Each local ad is included by me and therefore I can assure you they are safe to click through.

Just a reminder, don't miss out on the Kids Eat Free (or Cheap) and Mom Connections. I do my best to get the information correct but I recommend you call before going, just to be sure that the Kids Eat Free is still on. If you have found the link on another site please check to see that it is a current list.

Have a great week.
Sandy
