The Bair Foundation - A Christian Foster Care Agency

March 14, 2017

What happens when a breakdown of a family here in Western North Carolina occurs and a child is removed from their biological home?  Will the child have a place to go and a bed to sleep in that night?  The Bair Foundation-Asheville, a Christian Foster care agency, works to be a part of this child’s life.  Our mission is to keep children safe in a home-like setting while showing them the love and compassion of Jesus through foster families & staff.  Our goal is to strengthen the family, so the child can be returned to a safe, permanent and supportive home…if at all possible.

Who are foster families with The Bair Foundation? Your neighbors, your friends and members of your local church.  Anyone who is at least 21 years old, single or married and is willing to do the foster parent training and licensing process can become a foster parent.  We offer informational sessions and training on a regular bases.  Our next informational sessions are Saturday, March 18th at 9:00 a.m. and Tuesday, April 4 at 6:00 p.m.  Please call 828-350-5197 to reserve your space and for the location of the class.

If you know of an organization or a church who would like to learn more, we are always ready to speak about how we can help your group provide for foster children and foster families in our care.

Ultimately stable and healthy families are at the heart of our ministry.  It is within the family environment that an individual’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs are met. From our family we should learn unconditional love, understand right from wrong, and gain empathy, respect and self-control.  For a free packet of information, to sign up for our classes, or to have a professional speak in your church or organization, contact our Recruiter, Debbie Rankin at 828-350-5197.
