Are you looking for ways to celebrate July 4th in Asheville and our neighboring towns? Plan your Independence day with your family! Enjoy fireworks, parades, community picnics and more! 

Celebrate July 4th in Downtown Asheville 

Pack Square Park - Fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Details: Festivities begin at 2 p.m. Kids activities, Splashville (until 6 p.m.), a bouncy house, two giant slides, an obstacle course and a slack line area at the Ingles Independence Day Celebration. Ultimate Air Dogs at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.  Purchase food from local food trucks! Adults: Beer, wine and cider available for purchase. No outside alcohol, coolers or doggies. Music begins at 5 p.m. You can bring a chair, picnic blanket or blanket. Fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. and they can best be viewed from the Park. 




Celebrate July 4th at Lake Julian 

Fireworks begin when  dark 9-9:30 p.m.

Details: On July 4, the night sky will ignite with a barrage of color, light, and sound over Lake Julian. Buncombe County friends, neighbors, and guests are invited to enjoy the glittery spectacle just after dark from the banks of the lake on blankets and lawn chairs. Revelers are encouraged to arrive early and enjoy all the park has to offer: disc golf, paddle boats, water trikes, sand volleyball, horseshoes, and more. Fishing is allowed with a $4 daily fee. Uncovered picnic tables and grills are available on a first come basis. Parking on July 4 is restricted to William W Estes Elementary (275 Overlook Road in Asheville), across Long Shoals Road from the main entrance to Lake Julian Park. Shuttles will operate from 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. from the Estes parking lot. The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office will aid with road crossings after 6 p.m. Handicap access parking in the park will be allowed with a valid handicap placard. Limited parking is available at the Lake Julian Connector Trail in the gravel lot adjacent to Wild Wing Cafe. // Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a sweater or jacket, evenings can get cool at the lake. // Alcohol and tobacco products are prohibited on the grounds of Lake Julian. // Covered picnic shelters and free standing picnic tables will be available on a first come basis; no reservations will be accepted for July 4.  


Celebrate July 4th in Hendersonville 

Fireworks begin when dark 9-9:30 p.m.

Details: Come to 201 South Main for a Parade in the morning and a Celebration Concert at night! July 4 Parade begins at 11 am. The theme this year is A Star Spangled Salute! The Grand Marshall for the 2019 4th of July parade is retired Air Force Colonel William T Stanley of Hendersonville, who was shot down behind enemy lines in Vietnam but was not captured. Sponsored by the Hendersonville Merchants and Business Association. In the evening, enjoy a Celebration Concert from 7  p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate July 4th in Black Mountain 

Fireworks begin when dark  

Details: Enjoy a street dance with a live band, games and food on Sutton Ave. Fireworks begin at dark behind the BI-LO. View the fireworks downtown. FREE


Celebrate July 4th in Weaverville 

Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.

Details: Enjoy fireworks in downtown Weaverville! Main St. will close from noon to 11:30 p.m. from the intersections of Church St. and Brown St. Vendors will open up shop at 5 p.m. Live music begins at 5 p.m. on the stage near Town Hall.  


Celebrate July 4th in Brevard 

Fireworks begin when dark 9-9:30 p.m. at Brevard College

Details: Run a Firecracker 5k or 10k at 8 a.m. Enjoy the Fine Arts & Craft festival at 9 a.m. supporting local arts, crafts and games sponsored by the Transylvania Community Art Council. Enjoy the Classic Auto Show. The Courthouse Gazebo is center stage for day-long musical entertainment.  Bicycle parade, hot dog eating contest and other activities begin at Brevard College at 6 p.m., with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

Celebrate July 4th at Catawba Brewing!

The party will include Tiki Themed BBQ dishes from Buxton Hall BBQ, three new beers from Catawba:

3. Tropical Smoothie Sour

Details: Celebrate Thursday July 4th from 3-8 p.m. Live music from Drayton and the Dreamboats on its outdoor stage from 5-8 p.m. Ice Cream from 
The Hop Ice Cream Cafe from 5-8 p.m. All in our outdoor courtyard. Catawba will donate $1 per pour of our Brut Gose to Manna Food Bank for it's Hops for Hunger Campaign. Buxton Hall will donate 10 percent of food sales from this event to them. Come out and celebrate the holiday for a good cause! Celebrate July 4th at Craft Centric Taproom!

Details: Come celebrate the 4th with Craft Centric! Enjoy prime viewing of the Lake Julian fireworks display! We are releasing a new Fermented Nonsense beer called Dream a Little Dream, an orange creamsicle New England IPA.  We'll also be cooking up hotdogs, having beer specials ($4 for the 4th and $2 Mystery beers!),  face painting, and more!  Face Painting with Katy Jo will be here from 4-7 p.m. to provide fun and whimsy in the realm of face painting for all those who want to participate (adults included!)  Find out more here!


Celebrate July 4th at Lake Junaluska

Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. 

Details: Enjoy a Parade July 4th themed: When the Circus Comes to Town! Parade begins at 11 a.m. Enjoy performers from Imagine Circus. Following the parade a BBQ lunch will be held at Nanci Weldon Memorial Gym at noon. Music and kids' activities including face painting, bounce houses and a balloon artist. Fireworks begin when dark

Details: Live music, food, dancing and fun in Sylva starts at 4 p.m. and goes until 9:30 p.m. Carolina Soul Band play. Enjoy fireworks at dark. 


Celebrate July 4th on July 5th in Canton

Fireworks begin when dark

Details: Enjoy music, food vendors, watermelon and inflatables starting at 6 p.m. in Sorrell's Street Park in downtown Canton. Bring a chair or blanket to watch the fireworks at dark.
