We rounded up some area Meet the Teacher Events so you can mark them on your calendar and be ready for this exciting day!
Tips for Meet the Teacher
- Be prepared. Be sure and check your school's Facebook page as many area schools post a school supply list for your child and often you are encouraged to bring those supplies during Meet the Teacher to drop off in the classroom. Check with your school to confirm.
- Arrive a few minutes early or right on time. There's often lots to do including signing up to ride the bus, dropping off your school supplies, finding out about your child's lunch options to meeting your teacher and seeing the classroom!
- Ask for a classroom wish list. Teachers often dip into their own pockets for activities in the classroom. If your budget allows, maybe there's some supplies on the list you can purchase for your child's class.
- Volunteer. You don't have to be full-time with the PTA or PTO to help. You may be able to sign up and help with some projects at home such as cutting paper or stapling.
- Be cognizant of time and the schedule. Only ask questions that apply to everyone in attendance. Teachers have a lot of parents and students to meet. Meet the Teacher isn't the time for the teachers to take a deep dive with your child.

Our PTA will be outside the main entrance with lots of valuable information. In the gym, we will have the following representatives available: Bus Drivers, School Nurse, Child Nutrition to help with Free & Reduced Applications, After School Care and After School Activities.
