One of my very favorite things to do is to make life easier, or better, for other people. I have a particularly soft spot for moms because I'm in the heart of raising three young kids myself. When I heard I would have the opportunity, thanks to our wonderful national sponsors at OshKosh B'gosh to surprise a few local moms I couldn't wait!

The first opportunity came last Sunday, during the Macaroni Kid Day at the OshKosh B'gosh store in the South Shore Plaza on 250 Granite Ave in Braintree. We announced on social media, and our events calendar, that we would be at the store from with coloring books, stickers, coupons and might just surprise a few people with a cart takeover. During our visit, the first parent we surprised was a mom buying new sneakers for her son. She was shocked and surprised when we offered to buy them and it turns out they were his first-ever pair of sneakers that wasn't a hand me down 💕. The second mom we surprised was a brand new OshKosh shopper who was signing up for their Rewarding Moments® program and we suprised her by purchasing the adorable outfits she had picked out for her sweet 6-month-old little girl. After that, we surprised a regular customer of OshKosh B'gosh who was purchasing several packages of their Cotton Boxer Briefs (my son is a big fan too), and a new school dress for her daughter.

The final mom we surprised spent a long time in the store. She confided to the manager that she had never found a pair of jeans that fit her toddler right. With OshKosh B'gosh jeans in 9 fits, 25 washes, 66 sizes (slim, husky, plus and adjustable waist too), a knowledgeable staff, and some incredible patience from the toddler I heard mom exclaim "they fit!" from the dressing room and knew we had to make her day even better by taking over her cart and paying for her purchases. She couldn't believe it and even said "are you serious?!" before hugging me. It was the perfect way to end our cart takeover. While we were there my fabulous 9-year-old assistant did a great job handing out coloring books and stickers, but she also served as our videographer. Check out all the families we surprised!
Next up was delivering the prize to our new or expecting mom giveaway! We had some amazing new and expecting moms who were nominated. The winner is a local mom with a 3-month-old little girl who was nominated by one of her co-workers. On Friday evening, we had the opportunity to surprise her with a basket full of new baby girl clothes from the OshKosh B'gosh's Baby B'gosh line at work. Shopping for the clothes was so much fun! I love how all the pieces have similar colors in them making them easy to mix and match - perfect for babies because swapping out pieces during the day is almost always required. My favorite outfit was the World's Best Overalls we picked out with little flower embroidery on them - because who doesn't love OshKosh overalls?! Plus, they have so many cute tops to go with them. The floral peasant bodysuit was my favorite, but the eyelet trim floral bodysuit looked perfect with the overalls too - so many great choices! Check out all the goodies got her, her reaction!
