Review:
In a West Asheville neighborhood setting, we spent the morning exploring the Burton Street Park. Although it was a relatively small playground, we enjoyed having it all to ourselves. There were various ways to climb up to the blue slide on the mulched section.
The other side of the playground has two swings (no infant ones) and a small sand pit that looks geared toward the toddler age group.
This playground has plenty of wooden benches for parents/caregivers to sit and watch their child(ren) play. There was even a wooden octagon that I believe is a gaga ball pit; however, it made for the perfect little enclosure for my daughter to practice kicking around a soccer ball without it getting too far away.
The red brick building behind it is the Burton Street Community Center where they have bathrooms inside with a changing table as well as feature various community events throughout the year.
If you bring a basketball, there are two basketball courts where your child(ren) can practice shooting some hoops and benches for you to rest and watch.
