We recently had a very positive experience hiring Ducky Ducts to clean all of our ducts and dryer vent. Although I would like to think we clean our house fairly regularly, we did buy a home built in the 80s with no knowledge of when or if the ducts were ever cleaned. We have a dog who sheds and we've done some home renovating. We use our dryer multiple times a week with two little ones who go through frequent outfit changes! Ultimately for us, we decided it was worth it to have these services done for our peace of mind!
After receiving a text he was on the way, Joshua arrived in a clearly marked van with their cute logo displayed on the side.
He was already aware of the number of supply and return vents we had from our appointment set up, but he did a quick walk through to determine where everything was and the best approach for cleaning.
Both gentlemen were very professional and respectful. The entire process took about two hours and they were always willing to answer my questions throughout. Joshua even volunteered to take some before and after photos for me.
I love things to be clean, so looking through these is oddly satisfying. Please try to not judge too hard haha!
A pair of tweezers was found in this duct along with some chunks of drywall and lots of dust.
A pencil was found in this one along with carpet fibers. One of the first renovation projects we did was to change out the flooring.
They wipe down all the vent covers which I'm grateful for as look at how much hair was on this one...yuck!
Ahhh so...much...cleaner!
These pictures really show how much dirt and dust had accumulated.
Then it was time to go outside for the dryer vent cleaning, and I was eager to watch this. If you look closely at the picture you can see where the photo looks blurry/hazy is where all the lint is spraying out. Thankfully we have a fairly short hose but I have satisfaction knowing it's cleaned out.
Before they left, they gave both my kids a little duck with their logo printed on it which I found to be a sweet gesture. These were quite the hit as they enjoyed playing with them for the rest of the day even though my son kept saying "gobble gobble!" (We're still working on animal sounds :) )
