Simply put, our backyard has been neglected. Our home was owned by an older woman who lived by herself, and when we bought it a year ago, our focus was primarily on the interior renovations which meant the backyard took a backseat.

I spoke with Kyle on the phone who was very friendly and understanding. Although my husband has done some work here and there, such as digging out all the poison ivy, it's been a slow process as there's only a few hours of daylight left once he's off work and the kids want to play with him. Simply put, I was tired of looking at the mess and wanted to get "yard clean up" checked off our to-do list.

Since Prestige Property Improvements LLC offers free estimates, Kyle was happy to swing by and take a look. The biggest eyesores in my opinion were the rotting garden bed, broken compost box, and unruly vines/bushes/plants. It's a little hard to tell from these pictures but the overgrowth was so bad, it had caused the metal fence to bend as they were attempting to grow through the fence.

The following week, they arrived in a clearly labeled truck with an attached trailer for hauling off debris.

Three men set to work and in a little over two hours had transformed the yard! They cleared the back and side yard of a ridiculous amount of leaves, disassembled the garden bed and compost box, removed the vines growing through the fence, and more.

My kids were glued to the windows watching as this was highly fascinating with lots of action to see.

Additionally, they applied a post-emergent to help control the vast amount of existing weeds. This will be a process that will take months to truly revamp this yard, but I am looking forward to these changes and to share even more "before" and "after" shots.

We are so pleased to have this extra space back as it's already such an improvement, and my husband was so relieved to have this taken off his plate.
