Review:
Avoiding I-26 on a particularly bad traffic day, we stumbled across this playground. I actually drove past it, thought that looks like a playground, and then turned back around to check it out.
Located behind the fire station in Avery's Creek, you'll find this playground. There is a bench sandwiched between two little free libraries.
There is a set of stairs leading up the play structures.
At the top there is a climbing dome, a set of swings, and a cute climbing structure in the shape of a turtle.
There are parallel bars, balance beams, climbing steps, a small climbing wall, and a funnel ball game. There is a small play structure with a double slide that my two little ones squealed with laughter as they raced each other. Let's just say they each took turns cheating as they didn't always wait until "1, 2, 3, go!" to start sliding!
Finally, there is a well-loved covered picnic pavilion. I wouldn't say this is a playground I would drive out of my way for, but it is certainly great to visit if you live close by.
