Welcome to Asheville Macaroni Kid

Thanks to all of you that stopped by our booth at the Fins and Gills event last Saturday.  I love to connect with the families of Asheville Macaroni Kid.  It is so good to know that you are finding fun things for your families to do through Macaroni Kid.  And for those of you that are new to Macaroni Kid there is an article in the lower section of the newsletter that you may find helpful.  Thanks for signing up!

Enter to Win:  New contest for the PBR event on June 1 and 2.  Drawing will take place on Monday, May 21.  We are still running the contest for the Nunsense drama at the Flat Rock Playhouse downtown Hendersonville location.  Drawing will be tomorrow night, (that’s Friday, May 18th) at 9:30pm.  Check it out...there will be two winners...each for two tickets!  Great date night idea.

Tuesday, May 22, is the day that the Wright Brothers patented the airplane...so CELEBRATE with your kids with a paper-airplane day.  Create and decorate paper-airplanes and then come up with some categories for a competition.  Who can fly their airplane the farthest?  The straightest? The highest?  Can you fly it through a hula hoop?  Can you hit the bulls eye?  You get the idea. Have fun!  Celebrate!

Kids Eat Free (or Cheap)

Below you will find a list of area restaurants where kids either eat free or for very cheap!

While the majority of the listings are places where kids eat free some of the restaurants charge a small amount – so they are not actually “free” but a very good deal nonetheless.

You will also find that some of the restaurants where kids eat free have certain restrictions.  I can’t stress enough to please call the restaurant location you plan on attending to get your free kids meal before you pack ...
