Geo-Cashing

So the kids are off of school on Monday and you would like something fun to do with them...how about trying geo-cashing.  I must confess I have not tried this but I do know some people who love it.  I checked out the website and there are LOTS of "treasures" in our area so pack a picnic lunch and make a day of it.

Monday, September 13 - My Mom is Having a Baby!

Special Olympics Cheerleading


Practice Starts Sept. 7

 

Buncombe County Special Olympics cheerleaders, coaches and parent/guardians will have their first meeting and practice on Tuesday, September 7 at 6:00 p.m. at the Zeugner Center in Arden. All subsequent practices will be held on Tuesdays at the same location from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Practices will continue until March when the team will be competing in the State Games.

Parents/caregivers and children ages 3-5 in Buncombe County who are not in regulated child care are invited to attend a series of eight free Play & Learn group sessions at Asheville City Schools Preschool on Haywood Road in West Asheville.  Four groups will be offered: Tuesdays, 10am-10:45am and 11am-11:45am, September 21-November 9 and Wednesdays, 10am-10:45am and 11am-11:45am, September 22-November 10.  Sessions last 45 minutes and include pre-literacy based songs, puppets, games, hands-on activities and crafts.  Children who are new to the program receive a book each ...

Family Swim Sundays


The Zeugner Center indoor pool will be open on Sundays.  Family swim time is from 1:30PM until 5 PM.  The cost to swim is $3 per person.  Swim passes are available at a cost of $20 for 10 visits and $40 for 25 visits.  The Zeugner Center is located Arden at 90 Springside Drive, behind T.C.
