OneRx…what is it? A money and time saver!

I am all for anything that makes life easier and saves money. The OneRx app does both.  OneRx provides free and immediate access to savings helping you make informed decisions about your prescriptions. 

We all know that drug prices are skyrocketing and our out of pocket costs keep going up so any way that we can save money is worth looking into. I was given the opportunity to review the OneRx app and I will be using it.

Here is the way it works – Download the app on your phone – ioS or Android.  (It’s a free app!)  I don’t have prescription insurance so for me it is simply searching for my prescription, entering in my city, and in just a matter of minutes I knew the price of the drug and the pharmacy closest to my location that offers this price. If I had known about this app when we dropped our prescription insurance I could have saved myself a lot of time by not having to call numerous pharmacies to see which offered the best price. 

If you have prescription insurance it is only a few more steps. Enter your insurance info manually or just take a photo of your insurance card and the info will be stored. Now, proceed with finding your prescription. A couple of real time savers – the app tells you before you leave the doctor’s office if you need to have that particular prescription pre-approved (no getting to the pharmacy and then waiting to find out if the drug is approved), if the cost is less with your insurance or with the app’s discount card and if there are coupons available that will lower the price even more. 

I am not one to download every new app that comes along but the OneRx app is one I know I will use. I encourage you to take a look at it. I think you will agree, it will save you time and money and who doesn’t need more of both of those?
