Charles D. Owen Park - 875 Warren Wilson Road, Swannanoa – Amenities include: Two large pavilions for rent – (Contact Issy Ballard at 828-707-5656), three lighted baseball fields, two outdoor basketball courts, Restrooms, Playground, picnic tables, grills, 1 mile “figure-eight” walking and bird watching trail, The Swannanoa river is a fish hatchery supported river, and the two lakes at Owen Park are open for lakeside fishing.

Hominy Valley Park - 25 Twin Lakes Road, Candler – Amenities: five baseball/softball fields, outdoor sand volleyball court, swimming pool, playground, basketball courts

Lake Julian Park - 406 Overlook Extension, Arden – Amenities: Fishing - A North Carolina Fishing License and a local lake permit is required, Boating - Paddle boats and canoes are available for rental, Outdoor Games - A sand volleyball court and horseshoe pits are available for use on a first come/first served basis. Volleyballs and horseshoes are offered for use by Park patrons at no charge with proof of a driver’s license, 9 Hole Disc Golf Course is available on the back side of the park. Picnicking - 6 picnic shelters are available for rent at Lake Julian Park by calling 684-0376. Many tables and grills are available at no charge on a first-come first-served basis.
