Welcome to Asheville Macaroni Kid - the place to find family fun!

April 17-24, 2014

Welcome to Asheville Macaroni Kid and HAPPY EASTER!  It was so nice to meet some of you on Saturday at Healthy Kids Day.  Thank you for the kind words you had to say about how helpful Macaroni Kid is for you and your family to find things to do in our area. A special welcome to our new moms and dads that signed up to receive Asheville Macaroni Kid newsletter.

Once again we have some great family fun this week. There is so much going on I think you will have a hard time making a decision on where to go.  If you plan it right you might be able to take in a couple of events on Saturday.  And of course, we have some Easter crafts and easy recipes.

This week is filled with "Giveaways"...

Just for mom and dad we have a giveaway from Flat Rock Theatre for The Fantasticks - Drawing is tomorrow night.

There will be lots of fun at the LEAF Festival again this May.  New for this year will be that the FAMILY ADVENTURES will be spread throughout the Festival.  LEAF has generously given Mac Kid tickets to pass on to a couple of Mac Kid subscribers.  Find out how you can win tickets to LEAF!

Don't miss out on the giveaway from Linnae Designs for a free Spring family photo session.  She will be chosing a winner on this Sunday.

Congrats to Emily P. and Stephanie for winning the tickets to Asheville Community Theatre's Saturday at ACT.   Tickets are just $5 - Check the calendar for the details. Congrats to Virginia S. for winning the giveaway for the Love and Logic Parenting Workshop.  Find out more about it and see how a couple of the participants felt about the class.  Beth is offering a Mac Kid discount!

Plan ahead:
"Silhouette Man" is coming to The Toy Box May 9 and 10.  Call ahead (254-8697) to make your reservations to have your child's silhouette done by America's premier silhouette artist, Tim Arnold.

April is Autism Awareness Month.  Plan ahead to be part of a fun, exciting fundraiser where 100% of the proceeds goes to support the programs and services of the Autism Society of North Carolina in western NC; with a particular focus on advocacy, respite, and services.

I am excited to bring you our 2014 Summer Camp Guide.  There are some great camps listed - from art to circus, from climbing to theatre and so much more.  Be sure to look at all the camps and start talking with your child about Summer camp!

Don't miss out on the Kids Eat Free (or Cheap) and Mom Connections.  I do my best to get the information correct but I recommend you call before going, just to be sure that the event is happening.

Have fun!
Sandy
